36 | One Foundational Step to Avoid Burnout - Focus and State Dependent Memory
If you are a giver, and especially a Christian, focused on serving others and often feel tired or even exhausted - then you might be making one of the BIGGEST mistakes: waiting for vacations or the weekends to regenerate and replenish.
Taking care of ourselves and connecting authentically and deeply with God, the source of our existence, is essential in order to serve others with joy, patience, energy AND without the fear of burnout!
And by waiting only for vacations or the weekends to regenerate fully, we prevent ourselves from truly regenerating and sustaining our energy and joy over time - we accumulate chronic stress.
And then we might not have the energy to do the exact thing that we want - which is to serve and help others: like listening with inner patience to our clients, neighbors, co-workers, family members or children.
Listen to this episode, where I offer a simplified one-step FOUNDATIONAL STEP and the SCIENCE and THEOLOGY behind it, so you can apply it today - so you can start regenerating effectively every day (not just on retreats, vacations, or days off!)
This is the process I use with my students inside my program and has transformed lives!
