191 | Is God Pursuing You in Your Vocation? Your Work Is Worship to God, With Catherine Gates

How do we find strength in God in the workplace?  Why do we, as women, compete at times against each other, despite God creating us with the natural tendency for cooperation and mutual support? And how do we find ways to connect with each other, while dwelling in God's trust and abundance?

Answers to questions like these are essential for women to achieve their highest potential, and have marked Catherine Gates' journey, as she continues to build safe and welcoming communities for Christian women professionals.

Catherine is the VP of Programs & Partnerships for 4word, a nonprofit organization that helps women reach their God-given potential with confidence. She is a speaker, writer, and leader in the faith and work movement. She is passionate about helping people achieve more of their God-given potential, with confidence, by integrating faith into every area of life.

In our Renewal Conversation, we discussed:

✨ Catherine's journey of hardship, leading toward total trust in God (I was surprised by some of the core shared experiences).

✨ Removing negative mindsets (and replacing them with God's truths) around unhelpful competition among women.

✨ God's desire to pursue us in a loving and direct relationship.

✨ Unceasing prayer and the Dual Processing Brain.

She shares several beautiful Bible verses (which by the way, you don't want to miss) and one of them is: “I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6 NKJV
