Befriending Procrastination in Renewal

by Dr. Ioana Popa

As givers, at times we tend to postpone or procrastinate our self-care or renewal routine because we feel we don't have the time, as we are too busy helping others. It is really amazing to help others. However, habitually doing this can bring problems as by default, caring for others can feel endless.

So although it is natural for us to postpone self-care, this can come at a cost, and at some point we run out of gas, we feel tired, or we lose our joy of living and working.

In this video, I bring into conversation the possible function of such a Procrastinating side, and how we can rethink the underlying beliefs around it, so ultimately we can negotiate and regenerate and renew into the present moment, which is the only moment we have.
