'What are some types of stress?' 'Is there good stress and bad stress?' I hear these types of questions often.
Stress can manifest in numerous ways and there are many layers to stress. And we also use the word 'stress' to describe actually 2 different types of possibilities.
And, if left unchecked, stress can affect our lives in countless ways, including leading to burnout and potentially a host of acute or chronic physical and mental health problems.
So how can we think of resilience and of following James' instructions to "consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds." James 1:2 NIV?
