At the Feet of Christ: Internal Family Systems and Faith Stages with Julie Honeycutt

How often do we pause to actively listen to God during the hustle and bustle of each day? And when we do, are there simple questions we can ask to be in God's presence more readily?
Seeking connection with God can be tricky at times, but a worthwhile pursuit, and learning how to be authentic with our various reactions is a big part of it.
Julie Honeycutt is on a mission to do this not just for herself, but for her clients as well, and she does it through Internal Family Systems (IFS), which is a very effective psychological methodology.
Pres. Julie Honeycutt is an LPC & certified IFS Therapist, a priest's wife, and she has enjoyed integrating her faith with counseling for the last 20 years. She also leads workshops and retreats through stillness of mind exercises, what the early Christians call Hesychasm.
I interviewed her and in our Renewal Conversation we went over:
✨ Releasing the pressure to constantly self-improve
✨ Stages of Spiritual formation and the insights Julie has about Psalm 23
✨ A different perspective of Emmanuel – “God with us” (you cannot miss this one)
✨ An awesome tip to bring God into our every day lives – You probably already have the supplies lying around your home!
Julie's favorite Bible verse is: "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things." Philippians 4:8 NKJV
