Before you see it, Believe it

You know what it’s like to carry a vision: to set goals, lead others and move projects forward before outcomes are guaranteed.

But even strong women of faith, like you, can feel the tension between believing and the reality of what you see, and this can sometimes feel like a huge gap.

This can lead to inner doubt, thinking that you are not doing enough or that your prayers are not impactful, while appearing outwardly confident. This can quietly wear you down.

And as we just celebrated Christmas yesterday, it is important to remember that we cannot rely on what we see in order to affirm and sustain our beliefs.

Like Mary, trusting God that her son is the Son of God, she believed it, even when the evidence was not yet there.

And if she did it, through the power of Scripture and science, with God's help, so can we.

In today's episode, you will hear about:
+ The tension between believing and seeing and the gift of this Cognitive Dissonance.
+ How believing is rooted in Scripture and also seen in Psychology.
+ How beliefs interpret your world and what you see (which are called Cognitive Schemas).
+ The words of Romans 12:2 and how transformation requires us to renew our minds.
+ How making the decision to believe can actually create what we see.

When we align our thoughts with His truth, we participate in a beautiful co-creation that shapes our emotions, actions, and ultimately our reality.
