Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Christianity Part 3 - MANAGERS

In Hebrews, St. Paul tells us this: "And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." - Hebrews 12:1 (NIV).

As Christian professional women & servant leaders, we lead in many capacities, which brings a great amount of responsibility, and therefore, to keep ourselves moving forward, we call upon our "Manager Parts" as described in Internal Family Systems (IFS).

These parts help us problem solve, persevere, and keep running the race.

However, if we simply follow the path with our noses to the ground and don't stop to align ourselves with God, we ramp up our nervous system and eventually burn out.

This is not exactly what God intended when he said to persevere, and He certainly does not want us to burnout in the process.

And the IFS psychological methodology can help us to befriend and unblend from the MANAGERS, so that we can run the race without burning out.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Part 3: MANAGER Parts - Notes:
🔅 They are very helpful as they support us to function at our best, so they need our appreciation.
🔅 Like all internal parts, they are single-minded and they can also get us into trouble.
🔅 We need to find a healthy way to unblend from them to stay in balance, without burning out, so we can keep serving Christ.
🔅 Many times, we confuse them with our identity.
