As Christian professional women, we work really hard to build our careers. Then, after some time, something tells us to switch careers or pivot in our direction of life. This could be to stay at home with the kids, to care for a loved one, or a completely different opportunity.

This is not easy and can not only bring about confusion, but struggle and pain too.

This week, I interviewed Kim Patten, known as the "pivot mom", who wrestled with career-related questions about herself, realizing that shift and change were possible through her faith in God.

Kim reflects on a courageous career pause to become a stay-at-home mother after working for a S&P 500 company.

Her story - and her book Pivot - encourages women to prioritize faith, listen for God’s guidance, and embrace regenerative rhythms that support both leadership and wholehearted living.

In the Renewal Conversation, you will hear about:
☀️ How prayer played a role in Kim's career change and throughout her life.
☀️ Her decision to trust in God despite having deep fears.
☀️ More about her book and how to make a smooth transition from one opportunity to the next.
☀️ The importance of building a relationship with God and how it impacts your daily life and rhythm.
☀️ Ideas and strategies that help her stay grounded and focused on God.

Kim's favorite Bible verse is this: "Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." ~ Isaiah 41:10
